The JLG 1850SJ is an Ultra Series telescopic boom lift with a 185 ft 7 in platform height and 80 ft of horizontal outreach, making it one of the tallest self-propelled boom lifts available. Its 8 ft platform carries 1,000 lb in restricted mode or 500 lb across the full working envelope, and the jib-equipped boom reaches full height quickly so crews spend more time working. Pivoting axles extend to 16 ft 6 in for stability in about a minute and fold back to 8 ft 2 in for transport, which needs no oversize permit (an overweight permit is still required). It is built for high-rise facades and glazing, stadiums, power plants, refineries, bridges and other projects beyond the reach of standard booms.
